CareerREADY provides short-term, customized courses to meet the demand for specialized workers. In partnership with local employers, this program is integrated with work-based learning opportunities to give participants real-time knowledge of work environments and practices.

Learn the fundamentals of construction! Students will be exposed to OSHA safety, basic math, print reading, HVAC fundamentals, plumbing fundamentals, sheet rock, masonry, and basics of electrical wiring. Successful participants are referred to local construction employers and apprenticeship programs for direct hire, apprenticeship program enrollment, paid work experience, or on-the-job training opportunities.Training modules will offer applied experience in trades such as:
Learn the skills necessary for obtaining a job in the hospitality and tourism industry. Through self-paced classes, individuals enrolled in this program have the opportunity to earn one or more of the following AHLEI certifications in less than one week.
- Guest Service
- Desk Representative
- Guest Room Attendant
- Restaurant Server
- Maintenance Employee
- Food Prep
Mechatronics combines mechanical, electronic and computer technologies to create automated, ‘intelligent’ machinery and robotics that improve the efficiency, safety and productivity of manufacturing (and other) processes. Instruction will include: Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic along with Tools, Meters and Test Equipment. The program has 4 modules each 2 weeks in duration. Students have the option to register for 1 or more modules. Participants will receive a NIMS certification for each module they successfully complete and pass the certification exam.
Be Microsoft certified in as little as 3-weeks! Microsoft Office Certification builds career readiness through proven Microsoft Office skills. Here is your opportunity to earn nationally recognized certifications in an open lab learning environment with small study groups and individual attention.
Come learn electronic assembly and earn J Standard and IPC 610 Certifications! Both the J Standard and IPC 610 credentials are industry recognized/required soldering and inspection programs for aerospace, defense, medical and a variety of other electronic assembly industries.
