Construction Apprenticeship Program

Apprenticeship opportunities are available to earn while you learn in Florida’s fastest growing industry – Construction.

Apprenticeship programs consist of hands-on training combined with supplemental classroom instruction. Apprentices earn a progressive wage working full-time for a sponsoring employer while learning the skills of the trade. Apprenticeship is a commitment of one to five years, depending on the program and trade; however, upon completion, apprentices are issued a nationally-recognized “Completion of Apprenticeship” certificate by the State of Florida.

Each registered apprenticeship program operates independently and establishes its application process and minimum qualifications.

Generally, apprentices must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Possess a valid drivers license
  • Be physically able to perform the work of the trade.
