WIOA provides individualized services intended to help job seekers upgrade or return to the workforce by utilizing general, individual and training services. It also provides one-on-one assistance for job seekers with resumes, interviewing, job search and career planning.
We are excited to announce that ITA funding is now available. Please feel free to refer any interested candidates to complete the required registration or pre-screens based on their county of residence and desired funding stream (e.g., WIOA Youth, Adult/Dislocated Worker, etc.).
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program is designed to strengthen and improve our nation’s public workforce system in order to help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers. In order to participate in any of our training programs, you must first be enrolled in the WIOA program.
Veterans and their eligible spouses continue to have priority of service for WIOA and other designated job-training programs funded in whole or in part by the U.S. Department of Labor. Refer to Administrator’s Memo 10-2, Implementation of Priority of Service for Veterans and Eligible Spouses, for further information on this requirement.
Under WIOA, individualized career services and training services have a given priority, regardless of funding levels, with priority given to the following:
Under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act program, training services may only be provided for a State-approved occupation which appear on the list below. This list is called the Regional Targeted Occupations List (RTOL). Please review the list to assist you in making a career choice.

The RTOL was developed after extensive research into the local, regional, and statewide labor and job market. In addition, our CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas Board of Directors, consisting of local business and education experts, reviewed and approved the occupational list. Interested applicants should click on the link above to review and explore the approved occupational areas listed prior to selecting a training program.
Please note, there may be additional criteria that CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas and/or approved training providers may require for selected occupations/training programs.
